The Row was established in 2006 by Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen. Named in reverence of London’s Savile Row, the fashion house emulates the bespoke institution's standards of exquisite fabrics, impeccable details and perfect fits.

Since its creation, The Row translates these values to its ready-to-wear, leather goods, and eyewear collections.

In 2009, the Council of Fashion Designers added Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen to their distinguished member roster. Following shortly after, the CFDA awarded The Row the Womenswear Designer of the Year just six years after the line was first founded.
